Similar to crane assembly, it is also the case when building bridges that screws are usually exposed to all weather conditions without any protection:

• Large torques are usually required

• The space conditions are very variable: There are bolted connections without space restrictions as well as under very narrow and difficult space conditions (e.g. between bridge pier and road).

• The respective location of the bridge determines the types of drive available
